Chinese investments in Uzbekistan are on a rise. The Chinese investment has been accounted for over $200 million. The trade between the two countries has increased massively resulting in increase in trade turnover. Furthermore, optimization of custom duties on Uzbek textiles import to China are under consideration.
Chinese government technical assistance program is in focus which is for training and upgrading skills of young specialists for the clothing, knitting and textile industry.
The Uzbekistan textile industry representatives are invited to International Expo China 2018 and Chinese textile representatives are invited to UzTextile Expo 2018 and Uzbekistan textile conference.
During 2010-2014, the textile industry of Uzbekistan spend and received FDI worth $785 million while 147 new textile enterprises participation as investors from Switzerland, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, US and other countries were commissioned. Export potential of these enterprises was accounted for $670 million.
