Cotton Day in Korea expected to sale additional 900,000 bales of US cotton

A Cotton USA event held in Korea, the 17th annual Cotton Day, helped increase sales of US Cotton. At the cotton day, CCI joined more than 180 textile supply chain representatives including mills, manufacturers, retailers and brands.

Textile reps are expected to buy an additional 900,000 bakes of US Cotton after participating at the Cotton Day. The event caught special attention through innovative fashion show featuring US Cotton products from technology partners.

The key speakers at the seminar held at Cotton Day included Ms Aleisha Woodward; minister counsellor for public affairs US Embassy in Korea, Ms Hopie Brooks; director export sales Staplcotn, Dr. Joon Kim; chairman of the Spinners & Weavers Association of Korea (SWAK), Mr Roger Gilmartin; a CCI consultant and Mr Karin Malmstrom; director Northeast Asia and China CCI.

After attending the Cotton day many participants realized the benefits of Cotton USA program and expressed their pride in supplying US cotton-rich yarn with more competitiveness.
