According to Mr Iftikhar Sahu, Commission Multan, Punjab government has been taking revolutionary measures to increase production of cotton in the province.
During his visit to the Cotton Research Institute he stated that the world is making rapid progress in agriculture produce. He stressed for the institute to focus on climate resistant varieties.
Dr Sagheer, Cotton Research Institute Director apprised the commissioner that they had developed a new cotton variety which could be picked mechanically.
