Kelheim Fibres “Leonardo” is a smooth and extremely flat viscose fiber of a width to thickness ratio of 1:40. This parallel side geometry provides the fiber its unique characteristics of enhanced skin friendliness, wet laid nonwovens and high liquid storage capacity as well as high transparency. Transparency not only gives high moisture but also enables discreet usage for everyday purpose. The transparency benefits extends from cosmetic usage to tea bags too. The Leonardo application is not limited to nonwovens but can also be processed into yarns for special effects. It is completely biodegradable due to its 100% renewable cellulose making.
