From the global cotton community more than 600 delegates participated at the recent trade event hosted by International Cotton Association (ICA). The two-day event in Hong Kong provided the delegates an international opportunity to network and do business successfully. Next year’s trade event is scheduled to take place in Liverpool during October 2019.
The sustainability panel session was chaired by Mr Bill Ballenden (Dragontree) with the keynote sessions from Mr Joe Nicosia (Louis Dreyfus company), Mr Bruce Atherley (Cotton Council International) and Ms Gao Fang (China Cotton Association),
ICA president Mr Bill Ballenden said, “Being a spinner leading an association that was always regarded as the domain of the merchants and shippers was a very daunting prospect. I hope that I have been able to navigate successfully. I stand here before you which goes to prove that I have survived in one piece and can hand over the mantle to my successor.”
