Paris textile fair hosts 1,100 Chinese exhibitors

Over 1100 Chinese exhibitors brought a rich variety of products ranging from basics to creative high-end fabrics to the international fair of the clothing and textile industry, which opened at Le Bourget fairground in Paris.

Labeled as “China Textile and Apparel Trade Fair (Paris),” the Chinese exhibition is part of the shows called “Apparel Sourcing” (focusing on fashion) and “Texworld” (focusing on fabrics), organized by Messe Frankfurt France twice a year at Le Bourget.

According to a spokesman of China National Textile and Apparel Council, at the exhibition, 15 Chinese fashion labels were particularly attractive thanks to their creative designs, excellent product quality and flexibility of supply chains, which breaks the labor-intensive stereotype of the Chinese textile industry.

Ms Qian Yajuan, director of the trade department of Hodo Group, a leading textile producer based in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province. Said, “Enterprises must innovate to meet new demands of the market, that’s why we keep updating our portfolio, launching new products of high value-added and promoting the essence of Chinese culture.”

Roundtables and catwalk shows were scheduled throughout the four-day event, with a focus on major tendencies relating to sourcing of materials and products, technological innovations regarding new materials and production, as well as creative and business trends.
