Burlington’s No Fly Zone® Insect Repellent Technology is a permethrin based technology that helps repel insects through apparel, uniform or gear and prevents the spread of insect borne diseases.
Mr Nelson Bebo, vice president technical sales development for Burlington said, “With rising numbers of insect-borne diseases, permethrin-treated garments are becoming an increasingly important part of protecting against bites. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends using permethrin treated garments along with other precautions to reduce the risk of bites. Our No Fly Zone fabrics offer distinct advantages over other repellent technologies because the technology is applied at the fabric level for durable and consistent protection.
The No Fly Zone repellent technology can also be matrixed with other Burlington performance technologies to create unique, high-performance garments and gear for people who love the outdoors.
”
The technology provides a safe and effective barrier against six different isnects including ticks, mosquitos, chiggers, ants, flies and midges. The technology is applicable to polyester, nylon, wool, aramids and cotton and is durable up to 70 home launderings.
