The Truetzschler Group is a German textile machinery manufacturer with its headquarter in Mönchengladbach. The family business is divided into the business units Spinning, Nonwovens & Man-Made Fibers and Card Clothing. Machines, installations and accessories for spinning preparation, the nonwovens and man-made fibre industry are produced in nine locations worldwide. A range of service centers provide customer proximity in the important textile processing areas. TEXtalks is pleased to present an exclusive interview of Dr. rer. pol. Dirk Burger, CEO/CSO Trützschler Group on 70 years friendship of Germany and Pakistan for the interest of our readers.

TEXtalks: Germany and Pakistan are celebrating 70 years of Friendship, what would you say?
Dr Dirk Burger: 70 years is a remarkable period of time. We are glad that we enjoyed such a good, productive, friendly and successful relationship with our local business partners from Pakistan during this period.

TEXtalks: How Trützschler’s technology is contributing to the advancement of the textile industry in Pakistan?
Dr Dirk Burger: Overall, our contribution to the industry’s development is based on the great interaction with our suppliers and customers who not only have high quality standards, but also a very big know how and knowledge. They always show a strong interest in our latest innovations and complete solutions which empower them to increase their productivity. The first milestone in our vision of the intelligent spinning mill, the intelligent card TC 19i, for example, was received excellently by our customers. This reflects the market’s demand and attitude very well and motivates us to develop ever better technological solutions for and together with our customers.

TEXtalks: How long is Trützschler’s collaboration with Pakistan’s textile market?
Dr Dirk Burger: Trützschler took its first small steps in the Pakistani market at the end of the 1960s. From this point on, we expanded our business steadily through the 70s: It all started with modifications and modernizations of existing spinning mills, e.g. by replacing individual machine parts, and led to larger projects that have involved the installation of entire machines or blowrooms from 1977/1978 onwards. Since then, Pakistan has been one of the key textile markets for us.

TEXtalks: Pakistan is a potential market, how do you see to increase the outreach of Trützschler products to the local industry?
Dr Dirk Burger: Our customers in the textile industry not only need innovative products and technological solutions, but also an excellent service. Trützschler provides the suitable support with a service base and a team of engineers on site which allows us to respond quickly and flexibly to every (potential) customer.

This combination has proven itself very well so far – not only in Pakistan, but also in other major markets like Turkey, India or China – and makes us a reliable long-term partner.

TEXtalks: Any special comments / messages to the readers on the 70th Friendship Anniversary?
Dr Dirk Burger:  Just the best wishes, good luck and health for everyone celebrating this year’s anniversary of German-Pakistani friendship! We look forward to another 70 years of joy- and successful working together and continue to provide our partners with the best, sustainable solutions for the spinning preparation.
