Where denim has become one of the most loved outfits, many brands focus on just introducing new collections now and often instead of focusing on the environmental cost. However, Lucky Brand has introduced its second upcycled denim collection and other articles (featuring 43 items).
The launch of the second upcycling collection means that the first collection had a good response from knowledgeable customers willing to contribute positively to climate and environmental demands.
Lucky Brand was founded in 1990 with a spirit of reinvention. Rooted in premium denim, Americana, and self-expression, Lucky brand is for the free-thinkers and optimists who do not take life too seriously.
The Fall selection encompasses many rock ’n’ roll-inspired denim items, leather jackets, and graphic tees.
Lucky Brand teamed with Lars Nord Studio to create the Summer collection and selected three new independent creatives to help it create the Fall one: Diana Conklin, Sophie Cagniart, and Bel Zaiden.
To launch the Upcycle collection earlier this year, Lucky Brand donated 25 percent of its revenue to Fabscrap, a recycling and reuse textile service reflecting the brand’s positive attributes to improve society.
Upcycling benefits the environment by reducing the pollutants of air, land, and water pollutants in the processing of new goods and preventing additional natural resources from being used.
It also reduces excess waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Such collections using waste material are one of the many options to save the environment.
