S. cotton growers and importers, is pleased to announce the appointment of William Kimbrell as its new Chief Executive Officer and President. Kimbrell assumed the role effective November 2, 2024.
Marvin Arthur Beyer Jr., a cotton grower from Taft, Texas, was elected Chairman of the Board of Cotton Incorporated at the Cotton Board and Cotton Incorporated joint meeting in December 2024. Beyer brings a distinguished and respected background and dedication to the Chairmanship, a two-year term that commences in 2025.

A 22-year veteran of Cotton Incorporated, Kimbrell graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Textile Management and achieved his MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. He applied this background in various positions with Cotton Incorporated including fiber processing research and roles in the Global Supply Chain Marketing division ranging from technology management to marketing initiatives with a recent concentration in Asia.
Immediately before his role as president and CEO, Kimbrell held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. His vast international business experience has provided the opportunity to promote cotton to a wide range of stakeholders from leading mills, manufacturers, brands, and retailers in over 24 countries around the globe.

Kimbrell’s appointment marks a significant step in Cotton Incorporated’s ongoing commitment to supporting U.S. cotton producers, importers, and the entire cotton supply chain.

Beyer has served on Cotton Incorporated’s Board of Directors since 2007. Before becoming Chairman, he held the following roles: Vice Chairman (2023-2024); Secretary (2021-2022); and Treasurer (2019-2020); as well as serving on various other committees over the years.
His experience positions him to guide the organization as it continues to enhance the value of cotton through strategic marketing, cutting-edge research, and global partnerships.

Beyer has deep roots in agriculture that span multiple generations. With a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1978, he partnered with his father and brother to establish the successful “Beyer Brothers” farm.
Beyer has served in leadership roles for the South Texas Cotton and Grain Association, San Patricio County Farm Bureau, Coastal Ag Coop, and Gulf Compress. Beyer’s leadership extends to national levels including his current role as Cooperative Delegate Member for the National Cotton Council and as a member of the Plains Cotton Cooperative Association Board of Directors.
In addition to his professional contributions, Beyer is an accomplished pilot, avid sports enthusiast, and devoted family man.
