Apparel brands are reigniting their designs that took the markets by storm some 50-100 years back. Levi’s celebrated its jean501 dating back 150 years, and PVH-owned Tommy Hilfiger is rolling out a new installment of its ‘Classics Reborn’ campaign.
Levi Strauss-owned brand Dockers famous for its khakis is expanding its women’s ranges for SS 2023. It rolled out its California Originals last year. Now for spring 2023, it is offering four inclusive styles from the original pleated chinos to skinny, slim, and high straight or slim leg versions. The added touch this time is that its fabrics were produced with water-less processes that saved up to 73 percent water. The new products also include a selection of jeans and shorts.
Tommy Hilfiger has engaged artists from the world of fashion, music, and entertainment to promote its classic products. The new collection of 250 pieces also includes a new jacquard monogrammed denim. Tommy Hilfiger’s spokesman admitted that classics never go out of style. The new collection has given a modern touch to classic designs.
In the meantime, Levi’s Strauss is also actively promoting recycling by inviting its South Korean-based consumers to drop off all unwanted jeans worn at local boutiques till February 26, 2023, against a discount coupon of 20 percent available at Levi’s children wear stores on purchase of the brand’s 2023 collection.
The shoppers will get a single discount irrespective of the volume of denim that drops at its stores. The brand told its social media followers that it would hold on to the unwanted denim for use in sustainability retail events.
