Meech International has introduced a CyClean-R cleaning system for static charge and contamination-free webs. CyClean-R cleaning system uses high volume positive and negative ion airflows to break the boundary layer of the web material. Once the boundary layer of the web has been broken, it releases the contaminants into the turbulent air and vacuums into a filtration and capture system, thus, producing problem-free webs.
Regardless of the materials or processes used, all textile production generates airborne dust particles, fibers, and lint, posing a significant challenge to product quality. Contaminants can accumulate in significant volume, impacting some of the most important stages of production, such as washing, bleaching, dying, sanforising, printing, and inspection.
The result is a product not fit for purpose, which increases rejection and wastage levels. The generation of static charges in these environments can also cause problems, especially for synthetic fiber-based webs.
Meech’s CyClean and CyClean-R systems is a non-contact system. The chances of loose airborne debris re-attracted to the web’s surface are significantly reduced when the static charge is neutralized. CyClean-R is available as a single-sided cleaning system but can be offered as a double-sided cleaning configuration as an option. CyClean-R delivers consistent removal of dry, unbonded contamination from the web surface (particle removal to 0.
5 microns is achievable).
