Reverse Resources plans full circularity in the textile industry by 2030

Reverse Resources (RR) is a tracking and trading platform for textile waste, providing 360-degree transparency of the waste flows. RR has announced a plan to go full circular in the textile industry by 2030. It is like an Uber of textile waste. Recycling textiles into fashion products is no more a technical challenge. It is a problem of blocked access to waste, incomplete waste data, and inflated prices caused by the current waste handling and trading practices. Therefore, Reverse Resources is a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform with a mission to help the industry use its secondary resources as new raw material and reduce its dependency on virgin materials on a large scale.
RR holds the key to an extensive global network of critical stakeholders. RR matches the supply and demand, breaks down market barriers, shortens supply chains, and increases value along the way. We help to bring down the cost of textile-to-textile recycling and support the scale-up of the circular economy.

RR has on-ground operations set up in Bangladesh and India. However, it has already covered a network of recyclers and suppliers in 10 more countries and conducted waste mapping surveys in over 20 countries, mainly in South-East Asia, Northern Africa, and Europe. The platform was established in 2014, and things began to move faster after it won the Global Change Award from H&M Foundation only a year later. Since 2015, it has been helping the emerging high-end textile-to-textile recyclers find efficient access to the specific waste streams per their need.

As a SaaS platform, it helps connect an extensive network of stakeholders – brands, recyclers, textile and garment factories, post-consumer collectors, waste handlers, and processors. It helps them benefit from a comprehensive overview of the market and connections.
