Winners of the ITMF Start-up Award 2025

The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) has announced the five winners of the ITMF Start-up Awards 2025, showcasing groundbreaking innovation in the global textile industry. The winners will present their pioneering business models at the upcoming ITMF & IAF Conference 2025, taking place from October 24–25 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, co-hosted by the Indonesia Textile Industry Association (API).

This year’s awardees reflect a strong focus on sustainability, digitization, and advanced materials. In alphabetical order, the five winners are: Ambercycle (USA), for developing scalable circular systems that transform end-of-life textiles into new materials; aweXome Ray (Korea), for its carbon nanotube (CNT) fiber innovation, pushing the boundaries of high-performance materials; BYBORRE (Netherlands), known for its mission to digitize textile creation and enable design transparency; Silana (Austria), which uses robotics to revolutionize on-demand garment production; and ZymoChem (USA), recognized for its commercialization of biobased Nylon 66 using carbon-efficient fermentation.

The ITMF Start-up Awards aim to provide a platform for early-stage companies to share their ideas with established global players across the textile value chain. By offering direct engagement with industry leaders, the initiative promotes collaboration, investment, and the scaling of transformative solutions.

The presence of these startups at the Yogyakarta conference will not only highlight the future of the textile industry but also reinforce the growing global momentum toward circularity, automation, and green innovation.
