The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) will arrange a seminar on flammability in textiles and polymers. The webinar moderator will be Mr. Bert Truesdale, currently the Senior Director for Dyeing & Finishing Technology for Tencate Protective Fabrics. Formerly, he acted as the Southern Regional Board Representative and President of AATCC. In addition, Bert currently serves as Chair of the Chemical Applications Interest Group and a member of the Board of Directors for AATCC.
The event, Flammability in Textiles and Polymers, will start on June 16-17, 2021. The two-day virtual event will feature industry leaders and academic experts discussing various topics, including innovation, research, technology, and challenges in the world of FR and flammability. World-renowned researchers are taking part in the event as a presenter. Some keynote persons include Dr. Drew Child having 24 granted U.S. patents covering inventions in flame resistant and arc-resistant fabrics, airbag coatings, electronic textiles, and radar absorbing materials. Professor Roger Barker a recognized world leader in the specialized area of protective materials and the comfort of textiles. Dr. Alex Morgan, the editor of Fire and Materials and the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Fire Science. He is also a member of ASTM, Sigma Xi, the International Association of Fire Safety Scientists, and the American Chemical Society. Various other experts are also waiting for a diverse audience.
