Alliance of Chemical Textile Recycling publishes dictionary

A dictionary has been published by the US textile-to-textile recycling non-profit Accelerating Circularity which has listed common textile chemical recycling terms to coincide with the launch of its Alliance of Chemical Textile Recycling working group.

Many groups have signed in this regard which include Renewcell, Worn Again Technologies, Infinited Fiber Company, Circ, OnceMore from Södra, Sappi, CuRe Technology and Gr3n.

The founding members and fibre manufacturers Lenzing, Eastman and The Renewcell Company, aim to objective is to cascade collective learnings as a coherent and authoritative voice.

The core idea is to “move chemical recycling technology forward, share common definitions and address policies in a collaborative way, to maximise the elimination of textile waste to landfills and incineration”, said Accelerating Circularity’s founding president, Karla Magruder.
