Bananain selects Thai Acrylic Fibre for its functional innerwear collection

Bananain has launched a new functional innerwear collection made from Thai Acrylic Fibres with Outlast PCM technology. Outlast PCM technology is a unique patented thermoregulation technology that uses phase change materials (PCMs) to absorb, store, and release heat, continually regulating the skin’s microclimate.

Textiles containing phase change materials react immediately with environmental temperatures and the temperatures in different body areas. When a temperature rises, the PCM microcapsules react by absorbing heat and storing this energy in the liquefied phase change materials. Recently, the researcher has grown interested in incorporating PCM in textiles by coating or encapsulation to make thermo-regulated smart textiles.

Tuhin Kulshreshtha, Head of Marketing at TAF, said, “We are excited to be part of Bananain’s innerwear garments. As the thermal wear market is rising drastically in China and thermal innerwear is highly in demand for consumers there, we are glad that Bananain took this opportunity to develop their innerwear products with Outlast and trust in its revolutionary technology that offers optimal comfort not only in winter but all year round by balancing a constant temperature inside the clothing regardless of the outside temperature to all consumers.”

Wearing good quality underwear can affect your self-esteem. It’s the first layer of clothing you put on every day, so it makes sense it should be comfortable and make you feel confident – not frumpy or constricted. An undergarment that can absorb, store, and release heat, continually regulating the skin’s microclimate, could be an excellent choice.
