In August, Bangladesh apparel exports grew 4.92 percent to $3.93 billion as against $3.74 billion in August 2022.
“Clothing exports totaled $7.88 billion in the first two months of fiscal ending June 30, 2024, up 12.46 percent as compared to months between July and August 2022,” the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) said.
Total exports, which include all products, touched $4.78 billion in August 2023, a growth of 3.8 percent, when compared with $4.60 billion in August 2022.
In the first two months of the current Bangladeshi fiscal, total shipments reached $9.37 billion or 9.12 percent year on year.
