Bangladesh’s Knittex installs Mahlo Orthopac RVMC-15 to boost fabric precision and sustainability

Bangladesh’s Knittex Industries Ltd., a leading knit composite manufacturer under the Mondol Group, has installed a Mahlo Orthopac RVMC-15 weft straightener to elevate fabric quality and production efficiency.

The system — supplied and commissioned by Tootal Quality Resources, Mahlo’s long-standing partner in Bangladesh — ensures optical weft straightening and distortion-free fabric alignment, a critical requirement for premium knitwear.

Founded in the late 2000s, Knittex has grown into one of the country’s most trusted vertically integrated manufacturers, with campuses in Sardagong, Gazipur and Mirzapur, Tangail. The company controls the full value chain — knitting, dyeing, printing, finishing, and garmenting — enabling consistent quality and rapid turnaround. Its daily capacity includes 25,000 kg each of knitting and dyeing, supported by a workforce of over 2,500 employees.

Knittex’s investment in the Orthopac RVMC-15 aligns with its long-standing philosophy of quality, employee well-being, and responsible manufacturing. The new system is expected to enhance fabric uniformity, reduce waste, improve operational stability, and reinforce the company’s position as a reliable sourcing partner for global brands.

The upgrade reflects the broader industry shift in Bangladesh toward automation, precision control, and sustainability, as exporters respond to rising international expectations on quality and compliance.
