In a conversation with TEXtalks, Goksun Ozensoy of Brazzoli S.R.L. discusses the company’s latest innovations in sustainable dyeing technologies, including their breakthrough machines, Eco-Aero and Ecological Plus II, and the company’s strategic focus on expanding into emerging markets like Pakistan. TEXtalks: Which innovative technologies are being displayed at IGATEX by Brazzoli?
Goksun Ozensoy: We have a very small booth this year, but we are introducing some exciting new technologies. One of the key highlights is our Eco-Aero machine. This is a low-liquor-ratio dyeing machine that uses air dyeing technology instead of conventional water jet methods. The machine enhances fabric touch and eliminates crease marks, even for heavy fabrics. It’s been tested successfully in several countries and represents a major step forward in sustainable fabric dyeing.
TEXtalks: How does the Ecological Plus II machine support eco-friendly dyeing processes and reduce environmental impact?
Goksun Ozensoy: The Ecological Plus II is the only machine awarded the Green Label by ACIMIT, the Italian textile machinery association. It’s designed to consume significantly less energy and water. It doesn’t just operate at a short liquor ratio, it also ensures that the total amount of water used throughout the process is far lower than with other machines currently on the market. It’s by far the most ecological machine we’ve produced to date.
TEXtalks: In terms of water and energy efficiency, how does this machine compare to traditional dyeing technologies?
Goksun Ozensoy: The Ecological Plus II features our Innowash technology. Typically, in dyeing, it’s hard to save water, but in the washing phase, there’s a lot of potential. Innowash works by applying fresh water directly into the nozzle, creating a continuous washing effect. This eliminates the need for repeated draining and refilling. As a result, the overall water consumption is drastically reduced.
It’s a unique and effective solution for both water savings and process efficiency.
TEXtalks: How does your machine integrate digital control systems or automation to improve production?
Goksun Ozensoy: We are constantly integrating the latest technologies into our machines. This includes sensors to measure pH, conductivity, and even color sensors to monitor water flow within the dye bath. These features allow precise adjustments during the washing and dyeing process. We’re also working on updating our control systems and are adopting new-generation controllers to enhance automation and ensure consistent, high-quality results.
TEXtalks: What’s your vision for Brazzoli in developing markets, particularly regions like Pakistan?
Goksun Ozensoy: Pakistan is a very interesting market for us. For a long time, we didn’t have a strong presence here, but now we’re making a focused effort to change that. We believe our new air dyeing machine will be well-received, especially by customers looking for high-end, value-added production. The Ecological Plus II offers the kind of sustainability and performance that forward-thinking manufacturers in Pakistan are starting to demand. This is our strategic direction for the region.
