Carvico and Jersey Lomellina in partnership with healtyy seas for the sustainable future of fashion

Fashion plays an important role in everybody’s daily life, thus selecting sustainable brands is a must to preserve both our environment, workers’ rights and consumers’ choices.

Higher environmental integrity and social justice are the drivers of the devolution which is taking by storm the world of fashion and the apparel industry, the second most polluting industry in the world.

With over half a century of experience in the production of high end fabrics Carvico and Jersey Lomellina have rightfully become synonymous to sustainability and eco-innovation applied to sportswear, beachwear, outerwear and also fashion. We are talking about two companies which, thanks concrete, practical, comprehensive and structured action plans have always been committed to make their productions more respectful of the environment so as to preserve our planet health.

Fashion and sustainability are going to be the focuses of Healthy Seas Web Lab, a web in air to be broadcast on Monday 28 September at 4 pm, promoted by Healthy Seas, an environmentalist organization Carvico and JL have been partners of for many years,, founded in 2013 with the mission of cleaning the sea bottoms from ghost fishing nets which, after having been recovered by Healthy Seas are turned by Aquafil into ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated polyamide yarn, which is then used by the two companies headquartered in the district of Bergamo to make several eco-friendly fabrics.
