DuPont™ joins bluesign® for bio based sustainable polymer

DuPont Industrial Biosciences has announced its partnership with bluesign® for the high performance, bio based polymer Sorona®. DuPont™ and Sorona® are committed to apply continuous improvement of environmental performance and sustainability in their business system

DuPont™ Sorona® is a polymer which comprises 37% renewable plant based input. It uses 30% less energy and releases 63% fewer greenhouse gas emissions. Sorona® polymer, to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, it combines eco-efficiency with function for use in several applications due to its performance attributes. Its inherent stain resistance, exceptional softness and uncompromising durability offers sustainable and high performance material option for its customers throughout the supply chain.
