As many as seven international competitions for fashion designers are set to take place in the latter part of 2022 and early part of 2023.
These competitions included The International Green Product Award 2023 with a deadline for entry of 7 November 2022, the IDA International Design Awards 2022 for 27 November 2022, The C-IDEA Design Award 2022 carrying a deadline of 20 December 2022, The A’ Design Awards & Competition with a deadline of 28 February 2023, The Global Footwear Awards 2022 with a deadline of 15 January 2023, The World Of Wearable Art Awards Competition 2023 (WOW) with a deadline of 2 March 2023, and International Awards Associate Inc (IAA) with a deadline to participate of 6th April 2023.
Designers whose craftsmanship shift paradigms inviting everyone worldwide, as well as those aiming at products & services on the market from start-ups and established companies who wish to highlight their sustainable achievements, talented footwear designers, and those honoring sustainable practices that will inspire the industry as a whole, promoting visionary talents in a wide array of categories ranging from communication design, industrial design, architecture, interior design, fashion design and new media are invited to these design competitions.
It may be noted that Textalks had also organized a fashion competition among emerging talent from fashion schools across the country in its recently-held international conference in the city of Lahore.
Meanwhile, many fashion designing institutions, both in India and Pakistan, have revisited their curricula to adopt sustainable textile practices among emerging designers to deal with the global environmental concerns ahead.
