meets Pakistani
textile industry
Participants at VDMA Karachi Symposium
SBS Systems for Business Solutions organised a
symposium for German textile machinery producers
and their Pakistani customers in collaboration with
the German Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (GPCCI) and with technical support of the
VDMA Textile Machinery Association. The main
objective of this symposium was presentation of
products and services, B2B, and networking.
TEXtalks was the media partner of the event.
Fourteen German companies comprised the
delegation based on their innovation and
technologically-advanced specialties. These
companies specialised in production technologies
along the entire textile value chain from spinning,
knitting, weaving, nonwovens and finishing. They
visited Pakistan on a five-day trip to Karachi and
Lahore to establish a Pakistani-German business
dialogue. Five days of conferences, individual

business meetings and institutional and technical
visits highlighted their trip and helped foster bilateral
cooperation and exchange of views on innovations,
technologies and business opportunities.

Lahore. The project was led by Mr Franz Nienhaus,
advisor to the GPCCI board of directors.
