 ICAC: New publication to address

 Specialty Cottons

The ICAC has been publishing its Extra-fine Cotton Report for many decades but all things must come to an
end, and now is that time. However, the ICAC Secretariat will continue to publish information about ELS
cotton — it will just happen once a year now, as part of a new publication called ‘The Specialty Cotton
Report’. There has been an explosion in the number of non-conventional types of cotton being produced
and marketed in recent years and this inclusive new publication will address all of them.

The first part of the new report will cover information on the long staple variety of cotton from both producing
and consuming countries and will be written by the ICAC Secretariat.

The second part of the report will cover information on all other identity cottons produced throughout the
world. For this section, we will invite the organisations who produce the cotton to write an article about their
respective method and what makes it unique.
