Lenzing introduces new Veocel brand, Botanic origin and Quat release technology

Lenzing introduces Veocel, a nonwoven fiber that are produced in eco-friendly process and are certified from botanic origin biodegradable, clean and safe. Veocel is a B2B2C, which is a business to business to consumer brand strategy. It will enable Lenzing to focus on product application and build relatable connections with consumers. Veocel covers a range of applications that include baby care, intimate care, beauty and body care and surface cleaning.

Veocel fiber portfolio includes Veocel Lyocell and Veocel Specialty Viscose fibers that are derived from sustainable or renewable wood sources from certified and controlled plantations and forests. The botanic origin of the fibers offers functional benefits like improved moisture management and absorbency, contribution to breathability, blending versatility, good hand feel and all Veocel fibers are biodegradable in soil, compost, landfill and seawater.

Mr Robert van de Kerkhof, CCO Lenzing Group said, “Guided by our sCore TEN strategy, the launch of the Veocel brand will accelerate our migration into a specialty fibre business with a strong focus on innovation, quality and sustainability”.

Veocel Lyocell Fibre with Quat Release technology is the latest addition to Veocel Surface brand which is a premium specialty wood-based cellulose fiber that can be used in disinfecting wet wipes and hard surface cleaning. The Lenzing Quat release technology allows quaternary ammonium compounds to be released from wet wipes onto surfaces for disinfecting in the household and industrial environments and effective cleaning.
