MAAP is the first cycling apparel brand to become a Bluesign System partner. Bluesign’s independent and thorough verification takes a holistic approach to assessing sustainability, calculating the environmental impact of the entire process from raw material to finished product. MAAP involves sourcing materials from Bluesign approved suppliers, minimizing shipping, utilizing responsible manufacturing processes, and using recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable packaging. This ensures the lowest possible impact on people and the environment.
By 2022, MAAp aims to source 100% of our on-bike apparel fabrics from Bluesign® certified corporations. Bluesign® certification ensures that goods are made from materials produced using only chemicals and processes safe for people and the environment. Air and water emissions from the manufacturing processes are entirely clean.
MAAP’s ultimate goal is to make 100% of on-bike apparel from recycled yarns. As the company moves closer towards this goal, it ensures that every current product on offer is designed to last as long as possible. MAAP strives to seek the highest-performing recycled yarns alongside materials trusted to stand up to repeated use.
