Mango shows its commitment to circulatory textile by rolling out new collection

To enable easier recycling Mango has launched its first denim collection in a single type of fibre has been used. The denim collection has no rivets or jacron labels.

Mango leads a 9 brands coalition to comply with the EU law on circulatory textiles 2030. Mango aims to produce its products in which 100 percent of the fibers will be of the sustainable origin or recycled.

The products were developed with 3D digital technology to minimize the number of samples required. Mango aims to increase its sustainable apparel production, making it easier to recycle or use designs that produce less textile waste.

Mango’s circular design strategy is based to help close the loop. It aims to create garments with a simpler design, or a single type of fabric and fewer accessories, to achieve greater recyclability; the design would be based on more durable garments by using materials with physical properties that have been certified by AITEX design, no waste is focused on optimizing the materials used and the reincorporation of textile waste.

The new denim collection includes several Mango women’s garments. The collection includes jackets, trousers, jumpsuits, skirts, and gilets produced in indigo and black colors. The garments developed by Mango have been manufactured in a way to minimize the use of items that impact the environment including minimum use of chemicals and water.
