Mechanix Wear launches textile-based gloves for high-performance applications

Mechanix Wear launches SpeedKnit® seamless coated knit gloves with premium yarns, premium fit, and high-performance palm coatings that keep working hands protected in hazardous environments. Mechanix Wear, Inc. is an American safety company headquartered in Valencia, California that produces high-performance work gloves in the automotive, industrial, tactical, and construction segments.

Torch™ Welding Series is the new range of gloves available in the market as per desired end applications. The Torch™ Series breathes new life into an industry starving for innovation in hand protection. Our new line of welding gloves features our revolutionary and patent-pending rollover fingertip design that repositions exposed seams. We constructed the Torch Series with our proprietary Durahide™ performance leather and improved structural integrity under high heat stitching by DuPont™ Kevlar®. Developed by Paul “Torch” Le Sage and a select group of industry welders, our Torch Series redefines welding safety.

These gloves have been made using different fibers. The key elements to this new series include:

• SpeedKnit™ Heat Sleeves, two 18-inch sleeves with designated thumb holes, include 100% Kevlar® construction provides heat resistance and CE Level 3 cut resistance. The machine-washable sleeves feature a Fiber-Shield® treatment that resists oil and other fluids.
• Regulator HD MIG & Stick Welding Gloves feature a Kevlar® lining, enabling an ANSI A4 cut level, Durahide™ Board Leather construction, and glide-resistant side seam reinforcement for structural and pipe welding
• Flux Extended Gauntlet Leather Driver Gloves features Durahide™ Cow Leather construction, an FR cotton liner and torch palm reinforcement for structural and mechanical welding, shipbuilding, heavy equipment, and pipe welding
• Pulse TIG Welding Gloves features Durahide™ Goat Leather construction and glide-resistant side seam reinforcement for automotive, aerospace, manufacturing and construction welders
