OEKO-TEX® Annual Report 2020/2021

OEKO-TEX® has published its annual report for 2020/2021, which shows positive results regarding the ongoing sustainability efforts in the textile sector across the globe.

According to the report following are the key findings:
•  Made in Green products increased by 108%
•  31,696 certificates were issued, which are +31% than the previous year
•  Eco-passport certified products crossed 10,000 landmark
•  Over 620 K workers benefited from OEKO-TEX® STeP certified facilities

The aim of OEKO-TEX® has always been to create more transparency along the textile and leather production chains, protect consumers, and ensure more excellent safety and trust for all parties involved. With our website, OEKO-TEX® is focusing on improving the user experience. In order to provide the best possible experience and be able to improve and adapt continuously according to user‘s needs, OEKO-TEX® has focused firmly on data analysis with new tools such as Hotjar. OEKO-TEX® is pleased to report a further increase in users, page views, and sessions compared to last year.

OEKO-TEX® continues to support the industry with knowledge and sustainable solutions. Together with sustainability consulting group Quantis, the Association has developed the OEKO-TEX® Carbon & Water Footprint Tool to help the fashion industry reduce its CO2 emissions and water consumption.
