Rusvata celebrates modern Trützschler spunlace facility

On April 28, OOO “Rusvata” invited to its headquarters in Ryazan, Russia, to inaugurate the new TRÜTZSCHLER plant for the production of water-jet-bonded nonwovens. In the presence of the management of Rusvata, investors, and customers as well as representatives of TRÜTZSCHLER Nonwovens and their representative DERUX, the plant was officially put into service.

Rusvata already produced the first roll of cotton in 1896 and is today the only company in Russia that has integrated the complete chain of cotton processing for cotton and gauze. Rusvata is now owned by a modern and highly flexible spunlace plant with a monthly production capacity of more than 700 tons. TRÜTZSCHLER Nonwovens supplied a complete system consisting of its own components for fiber opening/blending, carding, waterjet bonding, drying, and winding. As a representative, the DERUX Group was involved in the project. It looks back on more than a decade of business activity in Russia and the CIS. The focus was on more than 20 large-scale projects in the field of non-woven systems as well as a large number of nonwoven fabric supplies from German top companies

The fibers used for the production of nonwovens are primarily cotton from the company’s own bleaching plant. Thus Rusvata has the fiber quality in its own hands and can react flexibly to the requirements of its customers. The water-jet-bonded nonwovens are starting materials for cotton pads, moisturizing and other cleaning cloths as well as textiles for medical care. This broad application spectrum makes the plant the first of its kind in Russia. With forward integration, the company is strengthening the region with 150 new jobs.
