TAF launches Regel Fiber with 75 percent recycled acrylic content

Thai Acrylic Fibre which is part of Aditya Birla Group, has launched a new variant of Regel fiber containing 75 per cent recycled content, that has been certified by the Global Recycled Standard.

Regel is a recycled acrylic fibre that is produced through a chemical recycling process that delivers warmth, comfort and vibrant shades. The fiber meets stringent environmental and safety standards. Garments made with Regel fibre have a significantly lower environmental impact than those made with virgin acrylic fiber.

Shesh Gupta, Unit head, TAF said the company is committed to sustainability and is constantly researching new ways to reduce textile waste and our environmental impact. Regel is one of company’s sustainable and innovative products. Regel fibre with 75 per cent recycled content is a significant improvement from the previous version that had 50 per cent recycled content.

Regel with 75 per cent recycled content is available in staple fiber type with other types like tow and tops to be launched in due course. Using recycled materials is a key aspect of sustainability, and products made from recycled materials are becoming popular among consumers. Increasing the recycled content of Regel from 50 per cent to 75 per cent will help meet consumers’ demands and provide them with sustainable options. Additionally, with higher recycled content in Regel will also allow manufacturers to create sustainable blends without compromising on quality or performance.
