Jack & Jones new Low Impact Denim collection – their most sustainable jeans to date

Jack & Jones following a sustainable approach is launching the Low Impact Denim collection. The sustainable production covers three stages of fiber, fabric and finishing as well as a transparent supply chain.

The sustainable production starts with fiber sourcing, dyeing and finishing without compromising on design, fitting and quality. For the composition of low impact denim collection fiber organic cotton is mixed with recycled polyester or lyocell or recycled cotton. After, organic fixing agent used for dyeing, a new dyeing process made from shrimp shells which uses 55% less water compared to traditional denim dyeing and another dyeing technique Indigo flow is also used. For finishing a range of methodologies are used such as e-flow, ozone and laser treatments which minimize energy, water and chemical consumption.

Mr Mikkel Albrektsen, Product Responsible at Jack & Jones Jeans Intelligence said, “With Low Impact Denim, Jack & Jones are trailblazers in the denim industry. They carefully reduce the environmental impact of jeans production, in all stages of the supply chain. We have come a long way the past seven years, and we are constantly raising the bar for our sustainability processes.”
