Prime Minister assures textile sector of government support

Mr Imran Khan, Prime Minister said that due to the wrong polices of the previous government Pakistan indulged in the war of others and we have faced unsustainability from the past years. Mr Imran Khan also informed that the Interactive friendly foreign relations are very important to lead our economy with worldwide recognition.

He said Pakistan has played an important role in mediation between the United States and Taliban. Pakistan is also ready to play the role of mediator between Saudi Arab and Iran. Nationalization implemented by Mr Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto has shuttered the confidence of the invertors in textile sector that’s why our current account is in deficit.

Elaborating the difference between “Profit & Profiteering”, Mr Imran Khan said that profit is about less expenditures and increasing revenues while profiteering is having unjustified revenue without indicating correspondence of assumptions and risk factors. He said there is a need of creating wealth. Malaysian Prime Minister provided the people an opportunity of creation of wealth, China took out 700 Million out of poverty in thirty years cross the globe.

The Prime Minister assured the government is providing full support to textile association in enabling environment to increase exports, besides creating sustainable jobs that will results in alleviating poverty. He said that the sales tax refund issues will be resolved at the earliest. Concluding the session, Mr Imran Khan said all the stakeholders are invited to take proposals for providing long-term sustainable textile policy initiatives towards shaking hands of building textile sector.

Mr Gohar Ejaz (Patron-in-Chief), Mr Assad Umar, Mr Abdur Razaq Daud, Mr Omer Ayub, Mr Ghulam Sarwar and Chairman APTMA Mr Syed Ali Ahsan appreciated & thanked the Prime Minister’s  gratitude for helping greatly in revival & growth of textile industry and exports.
