100 Italian exhibitors to showcase innovations at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025

Italy is set to make a significant impact at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 in Singapore, with 100 Italian companies showcasing their latest innovations in textile machinery. Organized by ACIMIT (Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the Italian delegation will occupy a 4,000 square meter exhibition area, highlighting the country’s strong presence in the global textile machinery market.

The participating companies will present state-of-the-art technologies focused on digitalization, automation, and sustainability. The solutions on display aim to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact across the entire textile production chain.

In 2024, Asia accounted for nearly 50% of global textile machinery exports, with Italian shipments to the region reaching €664 million. During the first half of 2025, Italian textile machinery exports to Asia showed a modest 1% growth year-on-year, amounting to €317 million. Major export destinations include China, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

ACIMIT President Marco Salvadè stated that the Singapore edition of ITMA ASIA + CITME offers an important opportunity for Italian manufacturers to strengthen their presence in Southeast Asia, a region gaining prominence in global textile production.

Giorgio Calveri, Director of ITA Singapore, emphasized the strategic importance of the Asian market, noting that 86% of Italy’s €2.1 billion textile machinery output is exported. He reiterated Italy’s commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainable solutions tailored for the evolving needs of the textile industry.
