TEXtalks: Please tell us about the Facility of Sapphire (production and Services)?
Muhammad Zahid: Sapphire’s processing unit was established in 2014. The unit processes polyester cotton blend for the institutional fabrics for Scandinavian countries. At the start, the production capacity was 2 million meters per month.
Within a few years from the inauguration of the unit, Sapphire increased its production capacity and reached 3.
6 million meters per month by installing state-of-the-art machines including CIBITEX machines. Till the end of 2022, Sapphire is looking to double its production capacity to about 7 million meters per month. The unit produces different fabrics, including home textile, retail, and others. We deal with digital printing, reactive printing, reactive dyeing, and disperse-vat dyeing on thermosol machines.
TEXtalks: What Made you choose CIBITEX and what makes CIBITEX machines different from others?
Muhammad Zahid: Earlier at Sapphire, we used some other EU-branded sanforizing machines. However, we found CIBITEX due to its appealing metallurgy once we considered something better. We went for an experiment, and we are happy we did that experiment as we achieved considerable higher productivity and even better results.
The washing of workwear is generally at higher temperatures. Thus, for the sanforization process, the role of the machine is important in controlling the shrinkage, especially for workwear fabrics. During trials, we found CIBITEX outperforming other machines regarding the quality of the final product (controlled shrinkage) or production speed. In a nutshell, we are a happy customer having complete trust in the CIBITEX machine.
TEXtalks: Please tell us about the performance of the machine in terms of productivity and efficiency?
Muhammad Zahid: Regarding the machine’s efficiency, the efficiency of CIBITEX is remarkable. The average production of standard sanforization equipment is around 50 thousand meters per day. However, with CIBITEX, we achieved production of about 70 thousand meters per day. The output quality in terms of shrinkage stability is exceptional even at higher temperature laundry and drying conditions.
TEXtalks: Are you using a standard machine, or you have customized or tailor-made as per your end requirements?
Muhammad Zahid: Currently, Sapphire is using a standard model machine without any tailor-made modifications but the machine’s working width is 3.4 meters as we run wider fabrics. The machine components are standard, including steam, spray, shrinkage belts, drying cylinders, etc.
TEXtalks: How much do you rate after-sales services by the local team?
Muhammad Zahid: The machines from CIBITEX are already running smoothly without any interruptions. Its user-friendly, and the operators are satisfied with the interface and very low downtimes. However, if we face any problem, TEXSOL always responds quickly to solve the problem. Therefore, we confirm total satisfaction with CIBITEX machines, technology, and after-sales services.
