Ternua, the top Spanish outdoor brand in sustainability, has renewed their most technical lines in the collection they have designed for next winter, which features one of the mountains from Pakistan. Rakaposhi is a mountain in the Karakoram mountain range in the Gilgit-Baltistan territory of Pakistan.
The Protech Rakaposhi jacket and pants are new in the 2022 fall-winter collection but are now available in new colors. Designed with Shoeller® Aerobrane (10k/90k), a recycled textile with a membrane that is extremely strong and multi-elastic, is impermeable and transpirable at the same time, and provides maximum protection against adverse climates. They were initially and specially developed for Japanese mountaineers Ternua Kazuya Hiraide and Kenro Nakajima (2020 Piolet d’Or prize), so they meet all the technical requirements of climbers and mountaineers. In addition, true to Ternua’s sustainable philosophy, its water-repellent treatment is PFC-free.

Apart from Rakaposhi Jacket, the brand has added technical textile items in the 2022 collection. Ninety percent of the garments in those lines have been designed with recycled materials using highly technical textiles, like Primaloft Gold Pure or Stormfleece Pro, to provide a highly technical, functional, and sustainable range of products designed in collaboration with professionals who have experience on the ground.

In parallel, there are other notable new products in this line, such as the Amphu JKT, a very light hooded jacket with Primaloft Gold Lux insulation focused on fast winter activities. It combines an incredible packing capacity, transportability, and softness.
In addition, it has excellent water repellency to protect athletes in humid climates, and it is perfect for activities where weight is a significant factor.
The Sharpu JKT is also notable, and it is perfect for use as a second layer or outer layer in good conditions. The outside is manufactured with a water-resistant recycled Pertex Quantum textile (PFC free DWR). Moreover, a lightweight but strong 10D recycled polyamide lining has been used inside.
