The clothing uses Outlast® technology, which is a phase change material that is continuously working to absorb and release excess heat.

This is because it is constantly absorbing, storing, and releasing heat; the material keeps the wearer at just the right temperature, no matter what you do. The fabric we use is made up of Thermocules™, which are tiny polymer shells in which the Outlast® phase change materials are enclosed. This encapsulation process makes the Thermocules™ durable and allows our clothing to regulate the skin’s microclimate.

Whereas many other performance materials use the wicking mechanism to draw away sweat, 51’s clothing manages heat and controls moisture production before it has even begun.

Fifty one Apparel is the only menopausal clothing brand out there using this kind of technology in its clothing.
