Vietnamese garment giant becomes ITMF member

Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation after 50 years of existence has joined the International Textile Manufacturers Federation. The group is the leading garment manufacturer in Vietnam and its 6 factories have 7000 employees.

An official of ITMF welcomed Bac Giang LGG Garment Corp on joining ITMF and stated that it will strengthen of the Vietnamese textile and apparel industry at an international forum like ITMF. He said the complex and long textile chains are spread globally. He said this makes it imperative for textile players to understand the dynamics of the textile industry. It facilitates them to learn from each other and Bac Giang LGG Garment and other members of Vietnamese the textile industry will also benefit.



A Bac Giang LGG Garment Corp, the official said ITMF has membership from around the globe and from across the textile value chain that includes producers of fibres to manufacturers of finished products.

He said the textile economy is more interconnected than ever. It needs interaction with all the players in the value chain. He said ITMF is an important platform in this regard. The current sustainability regime can be discussed at this forum.
