Techtextil & Texprocess 2025 Innovation Awards recognize groundbreaking textile technologies

The 2025 Techtextil and Texprocess Innovation Awards have honoured pioneering advancements in the textile industry, spotlighting innovations that enhance sustainability, digitalization, and manufacturing efficiency. These awards underscore the sector’s commitment to addressing contemporary challenges through technological ingenuity.

Techtextil Awards:

  • Revoltech (Germany) received the ‘New Concept’ award for its vegan leather substitute, LOVR. Crafted from industrial hemp waste, LOVR is fully compostable and scalable, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional and synthetic leathers.

  • Norafin Industries (Germany) was honoured in the ‘New Technologies on Sustainability & Recycling’ category for its ‘Hydro-Shape’ process. Utilizing high-pressure water jets, this method forms biodegradable 3D textile structures, reducing waste and energy consumption. 

  • SA-Dynamics (Germany) earned recognition for developing recyclable insulating textiles made from bio-based aerogel fibres, aiming to replace synthetic materials in construction applications.

Texprocess Awards:

  • Valvan (Belgium) won in the ‘Digitalisation + AI’ category for its Trimclean system. This AI-powered machine automates the removal of non-textile components from garments, enhancing recycling efficiency. 

  • Dürkopp Adler (Germany) received the ‘Innovation for Quality Improvement’ award for its ‘911Revolve’ CNC sewing unit, enabling precise sewing in all directions and reducing the need for multiple machines. 

  • Juki Central Europe (Germany) was recognized for its ‘DDL-10000DX’ sewing machine, facilitating three-dimensional sewing and improving usability across various materials. 

These accolades highlight the textile industry’s ongoing efforts to innovate and adapt to evolving environmental and technological demands.
