AK-Tekstil Solo skills workers for Indonesian textile sector

AK-Tekstil Solo, an education institute, focuses on skilling and training Indonesian textile workers by providing vocational training.

AK-Tekstil Solo is an arm of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) under the Ministry of Industry.

This was revealed in a statement released by the chief of BPSDMI, Masrokhan, which said that AK-Tekstil Solo is focusing on training workers from the textile industry.

The institute garment production, and is akin to a diploma certificate.

In the statement, Masrokhan added that the curriculum has been devised in consultation with the textile industry so that people are skilled accordingly.

He thought that the collaboration between AK-Tekstil Solo and the textile firms would help provide skilled workers and help the industry remain competitive.

Indonesia’s textile and garment industry is classified as a labour-intensive export-oriented, export-oriented, export-oriented sector and its exports totaled $13.83 billion in 2022, while also employing millions of people.
