Turkish technical textiles specialist Altoteks has expanded its advanced dyeing capabilities with a new Monforts Thermex continuous dyeing range, strengthening its position in global workwear and uniform markets.
Altoteks, based in Çorlu, Turkey, has installed a new two-metre-wide Thermex continuous dyeing line, extending its long-term partnership with Monforts that dates back to 1996. The company already operates two Monfortex ranges and a Montex finishing line as part of its 18-million-metre annual dyeing and printing capacity.
The new system consists of three linked Thermex units designed for continuous dyeing and thermosoling, supported by gas-powered infrared predryers for high evaporation efficiency and cold pad batch (CPB) winding. It also incorporates the Econtrol® process — a one-pass pad-dry-wash-off method developed with DyStar — enabling rapid fixation of reactive dyes at 120–130°C with controlled humidity.
For Altoteks, this upgrade is crucial to maintaining the stringent performance, colour fastness and durability standards required for military, emergency response, industrial and flame-retardant textiles. The company specialises in the dyeing of para- and meta-aramid fabrics, modacrylic blends, flame-retardant cotton and viscose, ripstop camouflage materials, and advanced double-dyeing techniques for polycotton and nylon blends.
Owner Mehmet Ucar said Monforts technology remains “a cornerstone” of the company’s technical expertise. Monforts’ Area Sales Manager Thomas Päffgen noted that the investment reinforces Altoteks’ growing competitiveness across Europe, Asia, the USA and Africa.
The installation was completed within one month with support from Monforts, its local agent Neotek and the Altoteks technical team. The company expects significant gains in speed, quality and operational efficiency as it scales continuous reactive dyeing for global customers.
