ANDRITZ to focus on sustainable nonwovens, hygiene recycling and digital plants at INDEX26

The Geneva showcase will position nonwovens technology around circular hygiene, sustainable wipes, lyocell processing, high-speed web formation and lifecycle services.

ANDRITZ will present its latest nonwovens and textile technologies at INDEX26 in Geneva from May 19–22, 2026, exhibiting in Hall 2, booth 2114. The company says its focus will be on sustainable and durable nonwovens, converting, sustainable fibre processes, textile recycling and lifecycle services.

Hygiene waste becomes raw material
A major theme will be absorbent hygiene products, where ANDRITZ will show converting and recycling solutions for baby, feminine and adult-care products. Its diaper recycling line combines ANDRITZ Diatec’s hygiene-converting expertise with ANDRITZ Laroche’s recycling technology to separate superabsorbent polymer, fluff pulp and plastics from production waste for reuse.

The company will also highlight ultrasonic lamination systems built around modular full-servo technology. For hygiene manufacturers, the commercial priorities are clear: lower waste, stable bonding, faster changeovers and more flexible product customisation.

Wipes and lyocell widen the portfolio
For wipes, ANDRITZ will promote spunlace, Wetlace™, Airlace™ and carded-pulp solutions designed for natural, renewable and pulp-based fibre structures. Its Wetlace™ technologies are also aimed at flushable and dispersible wipes, a segment facing stronger regulatory and consumer scrutiny.

The company will also present its capabilities in man-made cellulosic fibre production, particularly lyocell. Its offering covers engineering and specialised equipment such as flash dryers and pulp-preparation systems, drawing on ANDRITZ’s long-standing pulp-and-paper expertise.

Crosslapping, service and Metris
The X-Pro™ crosslapper will be positioned as a high-speed solution for spunlace and needlepunch lines, combining higher productivity with web uniformity. It can be installed on new lines or retrofitted to existing assets, with integration into the ProWin™ web-weight regulation system.

Digitalisation will be led by Metris, ANDRITZ’s digital platform for production management, process simulation, AI-based optimisation, Advanced Control Expert solutions and condition monitoring with smart sensors. The company will also promote SYNERGY™ service agreements covering preventive maintenance, expert visits, retrofits and upgrades.

The wider message is that nonwovens investment is moving beyond machine capacity alone. Producers now want lower waste, verified sustainability, process intelligence and asset reliability across the full production lifecycle.
