Artistic Milliners’ using organic waste wood dye BioBlack TX  in its cotton fabric

BoiBlack TX pigment made exclusively from waste wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council is being used by Artistic Milliners (AM) for its cotton-based fabrics in an attempt to reduce carbon print from textile products.

The pigment is developed by US biochemicals developer Nature Coatings and is used in AM”s pairs with 100 percent cotton fabrics. Artistic Milliners is a well-known textile company based in Pakistan that specializes in denim manufacturing and sustainable fashion.

The founding chief executive of Nature Coatings, Jane Palmer, told media that in the spring, the company’s dispersion, in addition to its BioBlack TX pigment, was also certified carbon negative by Norway’s Accend earlier this year.
