Dockers is an American brand of garments and other accessories from Levi Strauss & Co. Levi Strauss & Co., then specializing in denim, introduced the Dockers brand in 1986. The company has taken its sustainability efforts to the next level by using EcoDrones in collaboration with Ecording. The EcoDrones work by shooting a seed cannon from the air to the areas which are hard to reach. The EcoDrone has the ability to shoot 2500 seeds in just 10 minutes.
Ecording has developed the “Where Is My Tree” application that helps you see how your seeds meet with nature and follow the status of your sapling. Earlier, the DockersĀ® has introduced the “Water LessĀ® technique” that allows reusing water during production (dyeing and finishing).
Industries across the globe have welcomed the water-saving project, and 3 billion liters of water have been saved so far. Consumers can select their panel on fabric from their own planted trees through the “Send Seed Ball” campaign. Then, the consumer can follow the sprouting and current status of their seed from the “Where is My Tree” application.
