Seamless, waste-reducing innovation promises new standards in comfort, durability, and performance
Austrian textile manufacturer Getzner Textil AG, renowned for its advanced technical and fashion fabrics, has launched getzspace®, a groundbreaking three-dimensional weaving technology poised to transform the way performance and protective apparel is made.
Unlike conventional cut-and-sew methods, getzspace® enables the direct integration of 3D structures—such as pockets and reinforcements—into the fabric surface, eliminating the need for seams and stitching. The result: lighter, more durable, and more comfortable garments with reduced material waste and enhanced design flexibility.
“With over 200 years of textile expertise, Getzner is redefining how technical woven textiles are produced,” said Lukas Berthold, Sales Manager for North America. “Apparel made with the getzspace® process is not only more resilient and comfortable but also opens up entirely new design possibilities.”
The innovation supports a more resource-efficient production model, cutting waste from traditional garment assembly while improving functional performance—a critical advantage for sectors such as workwear, outdoor apparel, and protective gear.
Getzner will debut getzspace® at the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland this fall (booth #234), alongside its broader range of European-made textiles known for comfort, safety, and sustainability.
By integrating engineering precision with textile artistry, Getzner’s new technology sets a fresh benchmark for next-generation woven materials—where function meets form, and durability meets design freedom.
