Hexcel Corporation announced that Airbus Defence and Space had recognized the company wPicture of Patrice Buisson and Doninique Arnalith, its annual Sustainability Award, presented today at the Global Supplier Conference in Munich, Germany.

Each year, Airbus Defence and Space recognizes a few suppliers that have achieved sustainability excellence through initiatives supporting its business. The award granted to Hexcel recognizes a partnership announced in 2021 with Fairmat to recycle carbon fiber prepreg composite cutoffs from Hexcel European operations and its customers, and the cutoffs are reused in manufacturing composite panels sold into commercial markets.

• 30% reduction in landfilled waste
• 20% reduction in once-through freshwater use
