Current conditions are looking good for the home textiles industry it is maintaining the export growth as there is a hefty increase of 16 percent to $ 2,017 million for July-December 2020 recorded by the experts.
Not only textile but other non-textile sectors are also growing day by day. Through his twitter account, Razak Dawood, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment appreciated the efforts of all parties involved to keep the momentum of the textile industry steady and moving towards more growth
The data shows that the home textiles export increased by 16 percent to 42,017 million, Readymade Garments by 25 percent to $ 1,181 million and Tents/Canvas by 57 percent to $62 million. During July-December 2020, the exports of Pharmaceuticals increased by 25 percent to $138 million, Ethanol Alcohol (Industrial) by 14 percent to $ 182 million, Tobacco and Cigarettes by 84.50 percent to million, and Processed Food by 120 percent to $ 25 million.
“Our local companies should acquire overseas companies and brands, through proper channels, as it increases outreach in the global market and thereby increases our market share”, Razak Dawod stated.
On top of this all, ‘Artistic Milliners’ has been granted a manufacturing facility in California which is a big accomplishment.
This is a good welcome sign as the companies for Pakistan are being reached out to and formally recognized globally.
