Indian cumulative exports of textiles and apparel during October 2023 have recorded a growth of 10.44 percent over October 2022.
Indian October 2023 textiles exports grew significantly by 24.29 percent year on year over the same month of 2022. However, garment exports declined 8.08 percent in the same month.
As per the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), overall exports of textiles and clothing during April to October 2023 registered negative growth of 6.67 per cent as compared to April to October 2022.
In the first seven months of fiscal 2024 ending October 2023, India’s textile overseas shipments slipped marginally by 0.41 per cent over the same period of earlier fiscal.
Whereas garment exports between April and October 2023 dropped higher by 14.58 percent as against April to October 2022 period
