A conference turned into a tradition for the last 5 years, TEXtalks International organized its 6th Edition of the
Inspiring Change Conference 2023 on the 21st of September at Pearl Continental Lahore. ICC received an
overwhelming response and great encouragement from the textile industry. Aiming to provide a fresh
perspective for the industry through the lens of sustainability towards a better tomorrow, ICC believes all
challenges can be conquered through consistent efforts and exposure to new ideas and technologies. From
knowledgeable presentations to thought-provoking and all-aspect-focusing panel discussions, no topic was left
undiscussed at the power-packed conference. With around 300 key participants, all the global key textile
professionals and stakeholders gathered under one roof to discuss sustainable solutions for the challenges
faced by the industry.

With its strong belief that thoughts and ideas subsequently suggest the next steps to enhance global
competitiveness and attract endeavors in the value-added sector, ICC left no stone unturned in its conquest for
paving the way for sustainable growth of the textile industry.

The presentations focused on relevant and innovative topics linked to today’s business environment and
explored horizons that spread from diverse topics, including circularity, sustainability, artificial intelligence,
global cotton trade, futuristic trade approaches, traceability, trends in the global garment industry, and ideas for
the next generation of the textile industry. The TEXmeets event parallel to the conference which pursues to make
every connection matter, acted as a medium between the entire global textile industry. It offered a unique
platform for all the participants to join and discuss business ideas and proposals in private meeting cubes.

Distinguished Guests: This year ICC was graced with the presence of Kristin K. Hawkins (US Consul General
Lahore) and William Kimbrell (Executive Vice President and COO, Cotton Incorporated) along with CEO’s and
Directors from various textile backgrounds and organizations. Starting off with a welcome speech from Steven
Dyer (President, Cotton Council International USA), the event moved to presentations from professional
speakers and then onto panel discussions. These panel discussions were held with panelists showcasing their
expertise and opinions relating to different domains on topics that ranged from sustainability, future trade
prospects, environmental impacts, and global and local cotton.
